New fee schedule in effect
New Fee Schedule Publication.
January 1, 2008 marked the beginning of a new fee schedule for nonfacility medical services.
House Bill 738 was passed to get Montana’s workers’ compensation medical fee schedule more in line with major insurers. As a result, the Relative Values for Physicians (RVP) fee calculation publication has been replaced with the Resource Based Relative Value Scale (RBRVS). The new workers’ compensation fee schedule is now referred to as “Montana Nonfacility Fee Schedule” (MNFS).
This new conversion factor is two-tiered and uses the 2007 RBRVS publication:
Standard: $63.45
Anesthesiology: $57.20
The fee schedule and instructions are on the Department of Labor & Industry (DLI) website http://mtwcfeeschedule.ingenix.com. It will be updated annually.
