Drug Registry

The Department of Labor and Industry (DLI), under Administrative Rule of Montana (ARM) 24.174.1708, provides informational access to the Montana Prescription Drug Registry (MPDR) under the Board of Pharmacy. The MPDR was passed by the 2011 Montana Legislature with HB83 as part of the Patient Safety Act. The MPDR is available to licensed practitioners who have authority to prescribe controlled substances to determine whether a patient is receiving controlled substances prescribed or dispensed by other health care providers.
Pharmacies are required to report all controlled substance prescriptions during the preceding week to the MPDR. The MPDR Registry can be accessed at http://bsd.dli.mt.gov/license/bsd_boards/pha_board/board_page.asp.
