5 Year Medical Closure


Section 39-71-704 (1) (f) (i) of the Workers’ Compensation Act provides that medical benefits terminate 60 months from the date of injury or diagnosis of an occupational disease for injuries or occupational diseases occurring on or after July 1, 2011.

This 60 month period will expire on some claims starting July 2016 and may impact payment for any medical services provided.
